Stepan Company recently achieved International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS certifications at our Vlissingen, Netherlands, and Millsdale, Illinois, United States, facilities, adding to our initial certification at the Wesseling, Germany site.

ISCC is an independent multi-stakeholder initiative and leading certification system supporting our customers’ need for sustainable, fully traceable, deforestation-free and climate-friendly supply chains. By having an ISCC PLUS certification, Stepan can manufacture products that use biobased, bio-circular or circular materials. Such raw materials can help reduce our Scope 3 footprint and deliver lower-impact products to our customers.

In addition to our commitments to the ISCC PLUS certifications, Stepan continues to deliver products certified by the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO).  We also depend on our partnership with Action for Sustainable Derivatives (ASD) partnership to further our efforts related to responsible raw material sourcing. Through these actions, Stepan is positioned to support our customers who are looking for products based on more sustainable materials, such as our Polymer, Agrichemical and Consumer customers.

We continue our work to deliver innovative, safer and more sustainable products to the market and look forward to partnering with our customers as we expand our portfolio of ISCC PLUS-certified products. To learn more about Sustainability at Stepan, read our 2022 Sustainability Report.
